Your place on the course will then be confirmed in writing, along with all joining details, pre-course information or event medical assessment. A receipt will be issued with the booking confirmation.
Cancellation
In the event of a course being cancelled or oversubscribed you will receive full reimbursement. In the event of a cancellation by yourself, the invoice fee is non-returnable. We reserve to right to cancel the course at any time.
Responsibilities
First Aid is an active practical subject. Participants are normally expected to be physically fit enough to kneel, twist and bend over simulated casualties, to sit on the floor, to perform simulated CPR, roll, help roll and help lift simulated casualties. Part of your course may well occur out of doors, if this is so, you will be expected to take reasonable measures for your own warmth and also bring waterproof clothing. Please bring any possible medical problems to our attention before booking the course. Please supply us with any specific needs or particular requirements e.g. diet requirements for residential courses. Guests are responsible for maintaining acceptable levels of behaviour, unacceptable behaviour may lead to offenders being asked to leave. You will be asked to pay for any malicious damage caused by yourself.
You have a duty to inform us if the level of cover required changes. You must inform us if you are unable to provide us with logistical requirements discussed in the event planning stage.
We can and will adapt the level of cover that you request to suit the event in accordance with our own assessment. We will only concern you with the changes of these details in the event you will need to change your planning. Staff skill levels may be changed to suit the event in accordance to our own risk assessment.
The medical planning section in the HSE event safety guide is intended as a guide only, although we do work with this booklet we retain the right to adjust the support we supply and take full responsibility for these actions.
We point out that a modern ambulance crew does not have to use an HPC Registered Paramedic and NHS Ambulances are often crewed with IHCD Technicians & Emergency Care Assistants.
If you are in any doubt, contact us for advice.

Risk Assessment
Due to the nature of our working environments, we use a dynamic risk assessment to assess risks and potential risks to ourselves and others. This ongoing risk assessment is the responsibility of CS Medical Services UK LLP staff and representatives, all of whom receive training in Health & Safety, Fire Safety & Prevention, COSHH, Moving & Handling (people & objects), Conflict Resolution and Personal Safety in Emergency Care.
CS Medical Services UK LLP is responsible for providing this training and ensuring that the skills acquired on courses are integrated into daily working practices.
Any risks identified during the working day are passed to the team leader who will take necessary and appropriate action to ensure that the level of risk is reduced/removed.

Method Statement
CS Medical Services UK LLP work to strict national protocols that govern emergency medical care. We work with our clients to ensure that an appropriate level of care is provided and kept in accordance with HSE (Health & Safety Executive) recommendations.
Our clinical practice is governed/advised by the following;
Resuscitation Council UK
Joint Royal Colleges Ambulance Liaison Committee (JRCALC)
British Paramedic Association & College of Paramedics
Health & Safety First Aid Regulations
Association of First Aiders (AoFA)
We make regular contact with these parties either directly or indirectly to share different topics in order to keep at the top of current best practice techniques and recommendations.
Staffing Levels
Our staff are graded in five areas and this representation is reflective of they’re qualifications and experience. It is worth noting that in the HSE Event Safety Guide it states that an ambulance crew is made of a Paramedic and Technician. This is not strictly true as a crew can be made up of Paramedics, Emergency Care Assistants and Technicians. We will risk assess the event and send a crew suitable for that theatre of work. We will always provide an adequate level of care as we are a patient focused provider. If we feel the level of cover requested by the client is unacceptably low, we will advise them accordingly and only cover events where our standards are able to be maintained.
