ITC First Aid Ltd (ITC) is an awarding body recognised by the Qualifications Curriculum Authority (QCA) and has the rigorous quality assurance and robust, transparent governance that is demanded by this organisation. The ITC Outdoor First Aid Qualification is recognised by the Sector Skills Council (SSC), appearing upon the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), the Open Qualifications Network and the Learning Aims Database (LAD) supported by the Learning Skills Council (LSC).

Immediate Temporary Care (ITC) is the HSE (Health & Safety Executive) approved organisational arm of ITC First Aid Ltd and follows the quality assurance systems demanded by FAAMS (First Aid Approvals & Monitoring Section) of the HSE for the purposes of delivering First Aid at Work. As such Immediate Temporary Care has the HSE approval number 1670/96. Although the HSE only approve and monitor First Aid at Work training courses many institutions requiring some form of first aid training will use this approval number to recognise the competency of a certificating body for various other sectors of first aid training.

ITC has a committee structure including a 'technical committee' that actively researches current national and international standards. Where appropriate training courses are benchmarked to current UK National Occupational Standards (NOC) and the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) guidelines.

ITC is a member of professional bodies associated with a professional awarding body function within the first aid training sector, including the Association of First Aid Training Organisations (AFAWTO) and the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).
